How to use AIRVLO

Every tool, in the order you reach for it on a real project — from the first junction to the printed map.

The guide follows a real project from start to finish. Read it in order the first time, or jump straight to the part you need — every page ends with a link to the next one.

Each part shows the screens you will see in the app, with the names of the buttons exactly as they appear. Search above finds any tool across all parts.

The guide, part by part

  1. 01Getting startedCreate a free account, then press New project. Pick where the project is, the units you work in and the default pipe settings — you can change all of it later in Settings.
  2. 02Draw the networkBuild the model straight on the map: place the nodes, then join them with pipes. Elevation is read from the terrain under each node, so you rarely type it.
  3. 03Edit propertiesSelect an element to see its properties on the right. Select several — with a box, a free-form shape or Select all — to change them together.
  4. 04Elevation & background mapsElevation comes from a terrain model. Put a GeoTIFF image or a DXF or KML drawing under the network, and outline an administrative boundary.
  5. 05Run & read resultsRun the analysis, fix what Validation flags, then read pressures and flows on the map, in tables and in graphs.
  6. 06ScenariosCompare alternatives — a bigger main, a new reservoir — as scenarios and sub-scenarios inside one project.
  7. 07Legends, labels & map displayColour the network by any value, set your own legend classes, and choose labels, symbol sizes and flow arrows.
  8. 08Cost estimatePrice the new pipes — with their fittings, bends and excavation — from your own unit prices, then export the bill of quantities and the investment schedule.
  9. 09Print & exportPrint the map to a scaled PDF, or export the network as .inp, DXF, images and tables.
  10. 10Work togetherShare a project, edit it at the same time as your team, see who is working where and save versions you can return to.
  11. 11Account & settingsUnits, project defaults, your password and where to find help.
